The National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2026 could lead to decreases in the price of off base childcare, among other improvements, as Military.com reported.
The Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood program has been extended, providing military families with $2,000 a month per child for childcare, and the new updates provide up to a 30% increase based on locations with higher childcare costs.
Additional updates to military childcare include standardization of child abuse reporting and increased protections for childcare employees.
