IMSAR LLC has tripled its manufacturing footprint and significantly increased its production staff at its headquarters in Springville, Utah, to support the growing adoption of its airborne radar systems.
The expansion directly addresses the increasing requirement for high-fidelity imaging and precision tracking across the defense, security, and commercial sectors. By scaling in-house production, the company aims to provide all-weather radar capabilities for tactical platforms ranging from Group 1-5 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to manned aircraft without compromising on cost or platform endurance.
The larger facility is designed to streamline the entire product lifecycle, integrating engineering collaboration, rapid prototyping, and high-volume assembly under one roof. This consolidated approach allows the company to maintain control over quality while accelerating the speed-to-fleet for its radar technologies.

Larry Moore, President of IMSAR, commented, “At IMSAR, we are democratizing radar by making high-performance sensing more usable, affordable, and available than ever before. This expansion is a physical manifestation of that mission. By tripling our manufacturing footprint and significantly growing our production team, we have eliminated capacity trade-offs. We can now maintain our industry-leading availability and aggressive delivery timelines, ensuring our partners receive the rapid innovation and American-made quality they need to maintain a tactical edge.”
David Trent, COO and Executive Vice President at IMSAR, added, “Rapid growth and capacity expansion are integral to our overarching strategy to democratize low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP), multimode, airborne radar systems. Our systems were engineered with volume manufacturing as a core consideration. This facility expansion allows us to fulfill our customers’ requirements: high-quality radars delivered with shorter lead times. The expansion and enhancement of our production capacity and throughput represents a significant strategic advantage.”
The company’s systems, such as the NSP-3 and NSP-5, are engineered to complement existing sensor payloads, including FMV, EO/IR, and EW, to provide a comprehensive Multi-INT picture. With the new capacity to produce hundreds of systems annually, the company is positioned to support global requirements for maritime search, target tracking, and border security.
